Insights with NetSupport: Alice Lacey and Tilly Brooke - Immersive audio and resources in the classroom
Show Notes

In this episode of Insights with NetSupport, Kat Cauchi, Community Engagement lead at NetSupport meets with the CEO and COO of Now Press Play, Alice Lacey, and Tilly Brooke, discuss immersive audio and resources in the classroom.

For elementary school students, the immersive audio resource Now Press Play brings the curriculum to life and stimulates creative writing. The speakers point out that audio is underutilised and emphasise how using headphones in class can help students focus and feel included. Additionally, they go over the advantages of using audio to give children feedback and record them, especially when communicating with their parents, because it can be simpler and more inclusive than English that is written in text.

They also highlight the potential of immersive audio to enhance empathy and understanding of different perspectives, as well as its ability to support children with special educational needs.
